DJ 9-Volt’s love of music was cultivated at an early age on the island of Guam, where he was raised on a steady musical diet of tropical Reggae and Cha-Cha topped off with 80’s synth pop and new wave.
In 1998, 9-Volt traveled to Philadelphia where he was introduced to the flavors of trance and hip hop. Though not blessed with the voice of an angel or a mastery of musical instruments, 9-Volt’s appetite for expressing himself through music continued to grow. In 2000, he found his creative outlet when he joined Bassline Productions. Now based out of Washington, D.C., DJ 9-Volt is a member of the award winning DJ collective, Remixologists – an offshoot of the original Bassline crew.
Equally comfortable in the club or at a wedding, 9-Volt is the Remixologists’ international road warrior, having performed across the US (including stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Dallas, Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, and Honolulu) as well as in Mexico, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, and Spain. With over a decade and a half of experience under his belt, 9-Volt is sure to keep the dance floor packed with his mix of smooth beats and equally smooth dance moves.
